Evidence from outside
The buying reason lives with customers and lost deals, not in an internal workshop. We start there, even when it is slower and less comfortable.
A Singapore consultancy that treats a brand as a set of decisions rather than a visual layer — and writes them down so they can be argued with.
Almost every brand brief we receive describes the company. Very few of them choose anything.
A description lists what a company does, who it serves and which values it holds, and every competitor could sign the same document. It reads well, it survives every internal review, and it changes nothing — because it asks nobody to give anything up.
A position is different. It names who the brand is not for, what it deliberately does worse, and which customers it is content to lose. That is why positioning work is slow: the analysis takes days and the exclusions take the meetings.
GLASS GLOBAL is built around that part. We collect the evidence from outside the company, write the position on one page, and only then touch identity — which by that stage is the easy half.
Values are cheap to write down. These are the ones that cost us something when we follow them.
The buying reason lives with customers and lost deals, not in an internal workshop. We start there, even when it is slower and less comfortable.
A positioning nobody can recall is a positioning nobody applies. If it does not fit on a page, we have not finished deciding.
Execution-only work belongs with a design studio; clearance belongs with a trade mark attorney. Saying so costs us projects and saves clients money.
Antonina Dzamashvili is the Director of GLASS GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD and is accountable for what the company takes on and for what is published here.
In a firm this size that is not a formality: the person who conducts the customer interviews is the person who writes the positioning and presents it, so nothing is lost in a handover between them.
If the positioning does not make somebody in the room uncomfortable, it has not excluded anything yet.
Not legal advice. Naming and brand architecture work touches trade mark law. We identify risk and structure the work to reduce it, but we do not provide legal advice and we do not clear marks. A qualified trade mark attorney should conduct searches and clearance before a name is adopted or filed.
No guaranteed outcomes. Nothing on this website is a promise of commercial results. Market response depends on execution, competition, pricing and timing, most of which sit outside a consultancy’s control.
Third-party marks. Any third-party names or marks mentioned in the course of our work remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Send us the sentence your sales team uses when a prospect asks why you and not the other one. If that sentence is hard to write down, you have found the project.
